Valparaíso 1986
I am a performing artist working through movement and choreography. My interests lie in creating dialogues through the affective spectrum. I explore the possible languages of the body so they can manifest spaces rooted in a displaced reality. I think of movement as a mechanism of incitation—matter binding matter—both for those who perform and those who witness it. Through this communication of imaginaries, I aim to create a shared experience.
I have trained at various institutions, including the Miguel Pizarro Cultural Center in Valparaíso, the International Chair of the National Ballet of Cuba in Havana, and IT Dansa at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. I have worked with choreographers such as Guido Sarli, Manuel Rodríguez, and Giorgia Nardin, and with companies like La Veronal, performing across America, Europe, and Asia. In 2021, I co-starred in El libro de Sicilia, a theater production by Centro Dramático Nacional. I have also collaborated with Elsa Mingot and Malen Iturri as a choreography and movement assistant. Between 2022 and 2023, I participated in the Utopía Rambles exhibition project at the Santa Mònica Art Center, and in 2024, I became part of the research group Laboratori de Calle, affiliated with the same center.
In 2012, I founded Camaralucida, a dance project I directed until 2020. We presented work at venues such as Antic Teatre, Conde Duque, SAT Teatre, Sala Hiroshima, Théâtre Jacques Tati, and Mercat de les Flors, and participated in festivals including Sismògraf, Per amor a l’art, Dansat!, La Jeune Création Européenne, DNA Romaeuropa, and Salmon, the latter of which co-produced our work in 2020. In 2025, I premiered my first solo, co-produced by Mercat de les Flors.
I have also been invited to exchange platforms such as Danceweb ’14 at Impulstanz Vienna, Brut Nature ’18 at La Caldera, and #FF90 ’19 at Graner in Barcelona. As of 2024, I am an associate artist at Graner. During the 2023–2024 season, I took part in the En Residència program in collaboration with La Poderosa, as well as in the research frameworks INprescindibles and CoCo.
